Cleveland Platform Tennis Foundation is
joining forces with the Cleveland Rowing Foundation to build the first public platform tennis courts in Northeast Ohio.
This facility adds to Cleveland’s vibrant urban
renaissance in the Flats. It is located next to
Merwin’s Wharf and just minutes from downtown.
And it will host Cleveland’s first Platform Tennis Urban Youth Mentoring Program connecting urban youth with platform tennis players.
We are raising money from individuals and corporations. Over 130 individuals have donated as of March. We have submitted grant requests including a substantial grant with APTA. Our goal is to raise $750,000 by summer.
In tandem with fundraising, we are designing the facility, securing bids from construction vendors and securing in kind committments.
The mission of the Cleveland Platform Tennis Foundation (CPTF) is to advance platform tennis growth and development in Northeast Ohio by increasing public access and awareness, supporting meaningful lifelong engagement in the sport, and encouraging a cross generational social environment.
